Learn about riparian and grassland ecosystems throughout Sondermann Park in Colorado Springs as part of the nationwide BioBlitz on Saturday, May 7, 2016.  Join scientists, classroom teachers, and outdoor educators as they lead explorations through the Beidleman Environmental Center to discover specific examples of plants and animals in Colorado Springs.  Hear from experts on soil, birds, and local ecology.  Explore one of the large urban parks that marks Colorado Springs as a top place to live.

The general public is invited to participate in exploring urban ecology as part of the Colorado BioBlitz on Saturday, May 7, 2016, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Catamount Institute, 740 West Caramillo Street, Colorado Springs, 80907.  Wear clothes that can get muddy and be prepared to investigate dirt, plants, and animal habitats.
