Come join us for a half-day workshop for this fast paced day.
The agenda is as follows:
8:15-8:30 Introductions and Welcome and Pre Day Survey
8:30-9:20 Managing Emergencies Brent Olson, City of Scottsdale
Discussion of how cities prepare for and respond to natural disasters
9:30-10:20 Arizona Rescues Dr. Niccole Cerveny
Discussion of what types of rescues are needed in AZ and how people can avoid needing to be rescued
10:30-11:30 Weather Ready Nation: Being Prepared Dr. Erin Saffell
Classroom ready simulation on being prepared for flooding
11:30-Noon End of Day Survey and Door Prizes
This is a FREE workshop thanks to a generous grant from Arizona Public Service Foundation but you must register.
Parking is free at Mesa Community College on Saturdays.
4 Recertification hours will be given.
The $30 commitment fee (required for registration) will be returned to you when you attend. You can cancel by January 28 and still have your fee returned to you. After that date, you are welcome to send a substitute in your stead.
