Network of Alliances for Geographic Education

Learn about riparian and grassland ecosystems throughout Sondermann Park in Colorado Springs as part of the nationwide BioBlitz. Join scientists, classroom teachers, and outdoor educators as they lead explorations through the Beidleman Environmental Center to discover specific examples of plants and animals in Colorado Springs. Hear from experts on soil, birds, and local ecology.  The Colorado Geographic Alliance and the Catamount Institute are hosting Colorado's only BioBlitz this year.  Come explore and learn about how you can investigate your own schoolyard or neighborhood park.

Where and when?  Catamount Institute at the Beidleman Environmental Center, 740 West Caramillo Street, Colorado Springs, Saturday, May 7, 2016, from 9 am to 2 pm.
